observation

i went to a young professionals' session/seminar after work today, free alcohol, free nibbles yeahhh! and (free) advice from a financial advisor - what to do now, to double up (or tripple or more?) your $ in 30 years. it was a good-eye opener. to make a little effort now, go through my super statements, bills, bank statements and think more seriously about investments, buying property, etc will pay off in 30 years, this is my version of summary her speech.

had a little chat with a friend after the seminar about making a little effort and saying hi to someone you recognise from somewhere and i realised, isn't making a little effort one of the ways to freshen your life? a little effort to check on my financial position. after all, aren't i friends with my friends because i made that little effort to say hi and catch up? with friends from school, you may not have had to make efforts to be friends with them in the first place, but making little effort to stay in touch with them has kept you being still good friends? sometimes, things don't happen naturally i think.

i don'r like saying things like, we should all make a little effort each day (setting a number like, at least three a day??) to make a big difference (in the world or in your life or whichever). i just wanted to write down my observation...

by the way, devon aoki has to be my another favourite model! she was a cover girl in this month's russh. i saw her in a japanese fashion magazine more than 10 years ago, how old is she? she still looks the same. i love her make-up in the magazine (above)!! i've been using this eyeshadow from mac for more than a year now. i want new colour. also new lipstick - i have few lip gloss but i feel like matt lip colour now. i saw some really cute dresses from zimmermann today. jogging wears from addidas x stella mccartney.i'm also dreaming about this prada bag i saw in russh (below)...i'll save money to get myself a christmas present...i thought i've become a bit smarter about $.
